Jessica Lynn Fox • Artistic Director

Jessica Lynn Fox is the founder and current Artistic Director of Jeslyn Performing Arts Center/Jeslyn Dance Gallery. Fox holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Ohio University in Dance Performance, Choreography and Education. In addition, she is also a certified Pilates instructor (Physical Mind Institute) and Yoga instructor (Yoga Alliance), as well as a licensed Kindermusik educator.
Mrs. Fox has enjoyed performing and touring professionally in New York, Washington, DC, and multiple stages along the east coast. She has both trained and performed at the world renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre (NYC); was on faculty at the Washington Ballet (DC) and the Blackrock Center for the Arts (MD). While there, she was instrumental in setting up dance and performing arts programming through writing curriculum, teaching and training. She has had the honor of performing for Gina Gibney (NYC), KDNY (Kathleen Dyer New York), Tiffany Mills (NY), Deborah Riley Dance Projects (DC), Sean Curran (NYC) and many more.
Fox has received many grants through the years and has recently been awarded artist fellowships from the West Virginia Commission of the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. She was commissioned to set a children's tour of "Where the Sidewalk Ends" in 2009 and "Let's Go Swimming" in 2010. She is currently teaching as a dance faculty member at Marshall University and sustains a partnership with the Huntington Museum of Art with involvement in the Arts Integrated tour and the KidsArt program. This past year Fox further expanded her credits to include "Mom" to her son Thomas. Thanks to all for helping to make this dream a reality!
