Brittany McDonnell • Faculty

Brittany McDonnell is from Middlebourne, WV, and graduated high school from Tyler Consolidated High School in 2008. She started her dance training at the age of 4 at All Valley School of Dance and Gymnastics where she studied ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, and hip hop. She danced competitively on their competition dance team for two years. She was also in Grove City High School's show choir while she lived there for a year. Ms. McDonnell is currently studying Exercise Physiology with a Dance and Psychology minor at Marshall University. Her major emphasis is on dance medicine, and she has recently done an internship with the trainer for the Cincinnati Ballet. She has had the privilege to train under Jessica and Summer for 3 years now. Her training at Marshall has included modern, musical theater, choreography, ballet, jazz, and dance history. She has also had the privilege to take class at the National Museum of Dance in Saratoga Springs, NY, and from many other world renowned teachers at the WV Dance Festival. She is one of the founding fathers of Marshall University's Dance Company; AMUSED (A Marshall University Student Ensemble of Dance) started in 2009, and is currently the president of the company. Brittany is proud to be a part of the JPAC faculty, and is looking forward to sharing her love and passion of dance with your children.
