Amanda Smith • Faculty

Amanda Smith graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education, K-8 and a Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Education, PreK-K. She has been dancing and twirling for over 26 years and teaching the arts for 14 years. She has taught all over the tri-state area as well as Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC area.

Ms. Smith is trained in various dance forms, baton twirling, musical theatre, Pilates and is a licensed Kindermusik instructor. She was a member of a World Trials Twirling Team and has competed in both twirling and dance nationwide.

In addition to her time spent here at Jeslyn, she is also a teacher for the Wayne County Schools. She has taught a variety of grades and subjects, ranging from preschool thru 8th grade. She is currently teaching kindergarten at Lavalette Elementary School. Her love for children combined with her love of the arts culminates in a 3-dimensional education of the arts.
