Fairytale Endings Add on Child Care

Your summer camp experience at JPAC does not have to end! New this summer JPAC is offering working parents the option to add on an extended child care option. Students will continue to learn through games, movies, crafts and more…all while you can rest assured that your child is well taken care of by a trained member of the JPAC faculty!

*To enroll in the fairytale endings program students are required to be registered in an earlier camp that same day/week. There must be a minimum of three students for this add on program to run.

All Camps run Monday through Friday, age requirements and time will be specified with each camp.

Campers will need attire based on their chosen schedule. Ballet students need leotards, tights and ballet slippers. All other dance techniques, acting and voice need close fitting attire.

Young Performers

This camp is designed specifically for the young performer ages 6 to 12 years old. Each camper will receive individual attention, technical development and exposure to new areas of studies within the arts. Throughout the week, campers will be given the opportunity to take classes in theatre, voice, ballet, modern, hip-hop, tap, jazz, choreography, lighting and design, costuming, yoga and much more. Prior to camp, each camper will create a customized schedule of classes that will meet their needs for growth and development. This camp features faculty from JPAC, as well as visiting artists. (Please see the summer faculty for specific bios on who's teaching what!) Camp ends with a VIP showcase for family and friends on Friday the 17th at 6:30pm.

Students enrolled in this all day, week long camps will need to bring their own bag lunch including a drink. Lunches will be kept at room temperature; refrigeration is not available. Bottled water and snakes are available at the center for additional charge.

Length of Class: 9:30am - 3:00pm
Prerequisite: Ages 6-12

Pre-Professional Summer Intensive

This week long intensive takes students through a hard core training process developing dance technique in ballet, modern and hip-hop, as well as, choreography, acting, voice, partnering, contact improvisation, Pilates and yoga. Each student will get individual feedback from faculty, will learn repertory from our resident modern dance company (Jeslyn Dance Gallery) and will perform in their own showcase on Friday the 17th at 7pm. Students will gain experience by working with JPAC faculty, as well as visiting artists. This camp serves as the audition for the pre-professional company for the 2009/2010 season.
